When we hear Dubai, what comes to our mind first is a luxury resort situated in the Emirates. Its dominant and iconic symbol is the Burj Al Arab, the only 7-star hotel in the world. The building is 321m high with shape of the structure designed to mimic the sail of a ship.

The hotel located on Jumeirah Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, is a symbol of luxury, delivering the highest standard of services. To be able to maintain its high standards, the hotel needs to constantly develop and offer its guests further innovative services.

This was one of the reasons why the Jumeraih Group as the hotel operator has announced a new hotel extension, a luxury island leisure concept labelled “North Deck”.  This unique project was developed by Admares, a Finnish developer company, who were looking for the designer and supplier of the pool equipment for the “North Deck” extension. This was the right opportunity and challenge for the experts from INOX SERVIS and VAGNER POOL companies based in Czech Republic.

INOX SERVICE took charge of the design engineering and calculations for the pool equipments, including planning of the electrical services and metering control systems. VAGNER POOL launched preparation for the delivery of the pool equipment to be installed by the Finnish experts.

The pool equipment was designed and located beneath the deck under the respective pools. The design was strongly limited by confined space and we had to coordinate our work with other trades more than usual to avoid any potential collisions.

The supplied equipment provides the highest quality standards and meets the requirements for resistance to the prevailing temperatures of the site.

The North Deck offers to its visitors two relax pools, a freshwater pool and saltwater pool. Both pools are lined with ceramic mosaics in azure-sky colour.

The overflow edge of the saltwater pool has an exceptional length of 80 metres. It was designed as an infinity edge that produces a visual effect of water extending to infinity and giving the impression that the pool is merging with the sea of the Arabian Gulf. Of course, the overflow edge is properly secured and there is no risk of fall or injury. The total pool water surface area is 1465 m2 with 2100 m3 of water and a capacity of 600 persons. The hotel guests can enjoy four ultra-luxury jacuzzi spas with mosaic lining, offering a perfect relaxation and amazing panoramic view of the Arabian Gulf.

In the presence of INOX SERVIS representatives, all the installed pool equipment including automated chemicals dosing unit, medium-pressure UV lamps, hydromassage pumps, air pumps and filtration systems for the recirculation circuits as well as electrical installations and  MCS was put in operation at the end of April.

The “Terrace", how this outdoor leisure island was named for the public, was ceremonially opened in the presence of the Royal family on 26th May 2016.
