Construction modifications of an indoor pool

In the city of Karviná there is a sports center, which in addition to the sports halls also contains a summer swimming pool and an indoor pool. Our company participated in the reconstruction of the indoor swimming and children's pool and the expansion of the whole area with another 2 pools, 2 whirlpools and a cooling pool.

In the original area there was a ceramic 25m swimming pool and a ceramic children's pool. After the reconstruction, these pools have retained their original location and dimensions, but their surface treatment has undergone a fundamental change. The old ceramic surface was removed from the pools and everything was rebuilt so that new stainless-steel baths were subsequently inserted into both of these pools. The original pool technology was dismantled and completely replaced by a new, modern pool water treatment system. In the new hall was added a recreational pool with whirlpool and pool for non-swimmers. There is also a new Wellness area, with another stainless-steel indoor whirlpool and a stainless-steel cooling pool, which guests can use after visiting new attractions such as a Finnish sauna, infrared cabin and steam cabin.

An important part of the relaxation pool are many attractions, for both young and old visitors. Children will surely be attracted by the slide, the wild river and part of the pool with a lifting bottom. Other water and air attractions are massage jets, foot massages, massage beds, jet wall, gargoyles and pearls.

We divided the water treatment system into seven recirculation circuits. Clean and chemically safe water is taken care of by an automatic dosing station that continuously measures and evaluates the current quality parameters of the pool water and subsequently doses chemicals as needed. In order to save future operating costs, an activated carbon dosing system is integrated into the recirculation system. This device eliminates bound chlorine and promotes water disinfection. One activated carbon dosing device producing up to 1200g of coal per hour is installed in each recirculation circuit. A specific feature of the pool water treatment system is a unique device for the production of chlorine by electrolysis. - for swimming and non-swimming 500g/h, for relaxation, children's and whirlpool 1000g/h and for wellness zone 200g/h. During the process, not only sodium hypochlorite is produced, but also other powerful oxidizers are formed - chlorine dioxide and the ozone micro state. Together with the effectiveness of these substances, there is an exceptional efficiency of water treatment. A considerable advantage of using this modern and effective technology is its economy, where the starting material for the production of salt solution is ordinary table salt. The produced active chlorine is then distributed to individual recirculation circuits, saving the operator costs associated with its purchase and storage.
